And finally, we have the long-buzzed about exercise in Brand Synergy that is Hasbro's intended crossover between their Transformers and G.I. Joe movie franchises.

This has been A Thing as far back as 2013, when producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed that a Transformers x G.I. Joe crossover event was in the works. Development slowed to a crawl for many years, however, especially following the underwhelming commercial performance of 2017's Transformers: The Last Knight. But 2023's most recent live-action film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, ended with a direct on-screen tease for a team-up movie, seeming to confirm that it was closer than ever to happening.

By April 2024, Paramount formally confirmed the crossover film, with Derek Connelly (Jurassic World) later being hired to pen the script, and Chris Hemsworth reportedly circling the lead role. By late last year, Paramount reiterated that it was intended to be the next movie from either franchise, and so, we can probably expect casting announcements and a shooting start date by the end of 2025.
