6. Faces of Death
Banned in Finland, New Zealand, Norway and the UK, Faces of Death crossed the line for authorities with it depictions of both faked and genuine human death, most culled from stock footage. In a pre-Youtube era, before such scenes could be Googled with ease, Faces of Death gave gorehounds glimpses of Vietnamese Napalm victims, newsreels of war atrocities, and genuine footage of a fatal car crash. While Cannibal Holocaust only appeared to be a snuff film, Faces of Death sickeningly delivers the real goods and so earns a spot on our list.
