9. The Knights Of Ren

According to Rey's vision of the Knights Of Ren in The Force Awakens, there were seven members of the Knights Of Ren - the ersatz Sith that sprang up under Supreme Leader Snoke following the fall of the Empire - including Kylo Ren.

While the Sith themselves adopted the title Darth, we know that all of the members of the order take on the surname Ren, almost as though they were adopting themselves into a kind of family. That suggest a structure more like a cult than the rigid institutionalised hierarchy of the Jedi or the deep cover spycraft set-up of the Sith.

However, judging by Kylo Ren, the Knights Of Ren seem to regard themselves as the unofficial, raggedy successors to the Sith. Kylo certainly appears to be scavenging relics and trophies from the old days, and he’s an undisciplined, barely trained but powerful Dark Side force user.

The other consideration is that there’s a distinct implication that the Knights of Ren are no more - and if that’s the case, what happened to them? And, most importantly... can we avoid making Monty Python jokes?

Since the aftermath of the fall of the Empire is now a missing piece of Star Wars history, it would be good to see some of that history - and maybe we could even get a pre-doom cameo from Han Solo? The dramatic irony would be devastating...
