10 Movies That Couldn't Get Time Travel Right

2. The Butterfly Effect

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8_dgqfPXFg In this underrated time travel drama, Ashton Kutcher's Evan Treborn realises he can cast his mind back in time to an incident that caused him to suffer a blackout by reading from journals, and this actually allows him to alter those events, which in turn changes his present state of being. The first issue with the film is that despite all the things Evan changes, his blackouts still occur at exactly the same time, but there's a more glaring hole... In one time travel incident, Evan goes back to when he is at school and forcefully impales his hands on some spikes. Suddenly, the scars appear on his hands as if out of nowhere, when they really should have been there for years.
