The Ending

Due to some mind-bogglingly stupid shenanigans - namely a cloned young girl realising genetically engineered dinosaurs are every bit the abomination she is - the dinos are set free into the wilds of the U.S., inter-cut with Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) explaining the new dynamic to the Senate, before declaring, "Welcome to Jurassic World."

How It Was Spoiled

The movie's trailers made a rather half-assed effort to conceal the film's ending despite liberally featuring money shots from the climactic montage, including where all hell starts to break loose.

Malcolm's title drop is featured in the trailers yet seems so ill-fitting that many initially accepted it was shot specifically for the marketing.

However, some eagle-eyed fans were able to put two and two together, as the trailers also featured the closing shot of the Mosasaurus escaping its confines and terrorising a group of surfers at the beach. How else would this be possible unless...the dinosaurs got set free at the end?

Even if you didn't guess quite how it all concluded, the film's trailers relied heavily on evoking imagery that effectively implied the sequel-baiting ending.
