4. Turkey Shoot
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojai1EcJcV8 Dystopian Future: Yes Reality TV Aspects: Sort Of Battle Arena: Yes Captive Fighters: Yes Children As Fighters: No Turkey Shoot is similar to The Hunger Games not just because of the fact that a game of death is played, but also because the participants vary between the wealthy elite and "social dissidents" who have been housed in internment camps and have no chance of being freed unless they survive the games. In this way the film mirrors The Hunger Games, as the wealthy in Turkey Shoot are willing participants - in much the same way as those in the wealthier districts hope to be selected for the games - and those who don't buy into the social constructs of the time are kept interned in prison or a horribly poor district and want nothing to do with the game being played. Turkey Shoot gained something of a reputation for the violence on show, and the film eventually saw the "dissidents" turning the tables on the elite hunters of its game, again marking a similarity with The Hunger Games where the two combatants from the poorest district managed to overcome those from the richer districts.
