10 Movies That Deserve a Spin-Off More Than Paranormal Activity

4. Once Upon a Time in Mexico - "Mexican Sands"

Some people have a problem with Johnny Depp taking over the movie world. But when it's in a role like Agent Sands from Robert Rodriguez's Once Upon a Time in Mexico, I have no problem whatsoever. He's such a fun, manic, and cripplingly sardonic character that he's just begging for a spin-off. I think Rodriguez should take a break from Danny Trejo's spotlight in the Machete films and go back to the basics with Sands. And cast Mel Gibson as the villain. Because you can never have enough crazy in a Rodriguez film.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
