10 Movies That Hated You For Watching
1. Aggro Dr1ft
Gummo and Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine's new film Aggro Dr1ft is basically a visual approximation of a cluster migraine - an intentional attempt to deliver an aesthetically garish experience because Korine, by his own admission, is "bored" with movies.
An experimental action crime film starring rapper Travis Scott, Aggro Dr1ft was shot entirely with infrared cameras, lending it a wholly unique, otherworldly aesthetic, albeit one that also becomes exhausting to watch after a short while.
Korine further admitted that he didn't actually intend to make a film when he started shooting, and it shows, because even beyond its gaudy Predator-o-vision visuals, as a narrative experience it's dangerously close to incoherent.
This is a movie quite literally produced by an edgelord - Korine's production company is indeed called "EDGLRD" - and so it's fitting that Aggro Dr1ft seems not merely indifferent to the fact that people might try to watch it, but even hostile to the very notion.
