10 Movies That Totally Lied To You

Do you ever get the feeling that nobody reads a script or watches a film before that film is released to the general public? Abbott & Costello Go To Mars may well be proof of that because they don't actually go to Mars in this film. Despite the title's claim and their belief that the rocketship they're in will be taking them to Mars, they end up first in New Orleans, and then on the planet Venus.

This is a comedy film in the Abbott & Costello mould, which basically means it's an excuse for a bunch of one-liners and sight gags. There's no big shocking reveal that they aren't going to Mars, and the title could easily have been changed without making a difference to the impact of the film. There seems to be no reason whatsoever to mislead people with the title.
