I Love You, Daddy is a 2017 dramedy written, directed, and starring Louis C.K. as a TV writer and producer who becomes concerned when his daughter (ChloĆ« Grace Moretz) takes an interest in a controversial, much older filmmaker (John Malkovich).

C.K. shot the film in total secrecy in June 2017 and stumped up the entire budget himself, likely due to the film's inflammatory subject matter. 

I Love You, Daddy ultimately premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival just three months later to wildly mixed reviews, but its fate was sealed a short while later when the comedian was accused of sexual misconduct by numerous women, resulting in its theatrical release being cancelled.

C.K. ultimately bought the rights to the film back, but seven years later it still hasn't had an official release of any kind, its online presence limited to a screener copy that was illegally leaked.

When asked about the film in light of the allegations made against the filmmaker, co-star Moretz said she wanted the movie to "just kind of go away, honestly," and that it basically has.
