10 Movies That Would Have Made Far Better TV Shows

hancock We€™ve all thought it, at one time or another. That thought where, as you walk out of a theater from seeing a great movie, you€™re saying to yourself: €œMan that would€™ve been a great TV show.€ If the movie had not particularly delivered on your expectations, your thought would be more like: €œMan, that would€™ve been way better if it was a TV show.€ Then you would proceed to imagine what the show would be like and who you would cast and what each episode would be titled. What, I€™m the only one that does that? Oh, ok then. Film and television are two different entertainment mediums, each with its own pros and cons. Movies have the freedom to spend as much money on production as producers will allow, as well as use various locations and big name actors at its disposal. Television shows, however, are limited to smaller budgets and fairly constrained production schedules. What makes up for it is that it can expand on its narrative for as long as viewers tune and, and slowly gather a following that can achieve cult status if the show is really that good. At times a movie can have too many things packed into it, which can cripple the story and coherence. Other times the premise is so good that it has the potential to last for a very long time. Whether a movie is really good or really bad, it leaves you wanting more. Sometimes, that want for more is just enough to garner consideration for making it a TV series instead. Here I present to you ten movies that would have been better off had they debuted in the small screen. The reasons vary from story purposes to character insight to just because more is always better. One thing is for certain; these are not the only ten films that could€™ve been great TV shows. There are many more out there, but these ten are what I feel could€™ve been the most successful. If you have another suggestion or just want to discuss the following picks, fire away in the comments. Enjoy. Oh, and beware, there may be spoilers ahead.
