10 Movies That Would Work Better As Horror
4. Fall

Fall follows an experienced climber called Becky, who falls into a depression when her husband dies. Hoping to get Becky out of her slump, her best friend, Hunter, convinces her to climb a 2,000ft radio tower in the desert.
After Becky and Hunter reach the top, the ladder collapses, leaving them with no way down. With limited supplies, no cell service, and a harsh environment working against them, the pair have to figure out a way to escape.
Though Fall is a survival thriller, there are moments where it veers into horror territory without fully committing to it. The film contains gory sequences, involving wild animals ripping their prey apart, vultures munching on Becky's infected wounds, and a human body being splattered across the desert.
When Hunter succumbs to her wounds, the story touches on the supernatural, with Becky hallucinating her friend into being. Due to Becky's delirium, it's hard to tell what's real and what isn't, making Fall feel like a psychological thriller at times.
Considering how unimaginably scary it would be to be stranded in the middle of nowhere over a mile in the air, it's bewildering why the filmmakers didn't lean into the horror more.
