10 Movies We Want In Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4
6. X-Men
The deal between Marvel and Sony Pictures over Spider-Man has opened the proverbial floodgates for fans clamoring to see more properties brought into the MCU. 20th Century Fox has had a good haul with the X-Men franchise. A lot of fun was had and a lot of money was made, but after X-Men: Apocalypse, we will be 16 years and eight films into Fox's mutant-verse. Hugh Jackman, who is the Robert Downey Jr. of the Fox movies, has publicly stated that Apocalypse will be his final appearance as Wolverine. This sounds like the prime time to re-negotiate and get those film rights back in Marvel's hands. This could mean not only a quality X-Men reboot, but access to all things mutant (which has heretofore been a no-go for Marvel Studios). Once all of the juice has been squeezed out of the Avengers, it will be time for a new team to keep the MCU going strong. No offense to the Guardians of the Galaxy or the Inhumans, but no other Marvel squad has the street cred of the X-Men.
