10 Movies We Want In Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3

3. Ant-Man

Ant-Man Kevin Feige has already confirmed that Ant-Man will be kicking off phase three. That being the case, let's focus on what we want to see from the Ant-Man film. Since all evidence suggests that Ultron's origin will be changed (Ant-Man/Hank Pym was the original creator of the metallic menace), we will hopefully see the toil and strain on Hank as he creates the Pym Particle. Remember, Hank Pym is a "good guy" but he isn't always a "nice guy." The particle is his life's work and its creation shouldn't be cheapened by an "Oh yeah!" Eureka moment where he just shrinks down and cruises around the city as a flying ant. To do it right, we need to see the complexities of a man whose genius rivals that of Tony Stark and Reed Richards. Pym's obsession with his work can peel back some wonderful layers to the character. Do the right thing, Marvel. Make his cinematic self as complex as the four-color version. As much as I typically cringe at the forced love stories in comic book movies, his relationship with Janet Van Dyne (Wasp) is an integral part of his overall story and involvement with the Avengers. This is one love story I could get behind... if it's done right, of course. As far as an antagonist is concerned? Well, Ant-Man's rogues gallery is a little light once Ultron is taken out of the equation. I would like to see a solid re-vamping of an otherwise forgettable villain. Radioactive Man? Egghead? Porcupine? Director Edgar Wright is just brassy enough to try it. The safe bet, though, would be to just bring back the A.I.M. crew from Iron Man 3.
