10 Movies Where An Actor Dies BEFORE Their Opening Credit!

7. Morena Baccarin - Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 Vanessa
20th Century Fox

Given how the extended cut of Deadpool 2 goes a whopping 18 minutes before commencing its opening credits sequence, plenty happens before we get the sequel's glossy title sequence.

Unfortunately for Morena Baccarin's Vanessa Carlysle, one of the things that happens before the credits hit is her death.

It was all going so well for Wade and Vanessa up until, well, it wasn't. With the Merc with a Mouth home after a day at the office, he and his beau decide to mark their anniversary by deciding to start a family. That is, until a stray target from one of Deadpool's jobs tracks him down to his apartment and inadvertently kills Vanessa.

From there, audiences got a beautiful, poignant, humorous opening credits sequence that was accompanied by Celine Dion's Ashes.

Left with his life in figurative ashes, Deadpool 2 then kicks into gear as we skip ahead a few weeks to find a mourning Wade Wilson having tried to take his own life numerous times - all forever hindered by Wade's ability to regenerate.

Of course, the close of the picture would see the Regenerating Degenerate travel back in time to stop Vanessa's death from ever happening.
