10 Movies Whose CinemaScores Make No Sense

2. Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy

Inception Leonardo DiCaprio
DreamWorks Pictures

CinemaScore: B

Anchorman is one of the most iconic and quotable comedies ever. Even people who haven't seen the movie could probably recognise "boy...that escalated quickly" or "60% of the time, it works every time". It includes comedic legends like Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell all at the top of their game.

Yet, its CinemaScore of B is the same as the Adam Sandler movies Grown Ups and Jack & Jill. Yes, the movie where Adam Sandler plays the roles of a man and his twin sister is deemed as an equal to Anchorman on CinemaScore.

The comedy was unlikely to ever win an Oscar, but it got a great response from audiences and has become a cult classic. An A- would have been a much more fitting score.
