10 Movies With Unexpectedly Ridiculous Plots

4. I Know Who Killed Me

Noah Movie Crowe
Sony Pictures

When Aubrey (Lindsay Lohan) disappears, her parents and the police assume she’s been abducted by the killer of one of her classmates, but when Dakota (also Lohan) is found by a motorist, everyone believes she’s the missing girl. Are they mistaken, or are Aubrey and Dakota the same person?

As it turns out, they’re long lost sisters, one a piano prodigy with literary aspirations, the other a cheap slut who dances in strip clubs. They’re also twins, and according to this movie’s rules, whatever wounds are inflicted on one twin are experienced by the other. So if one girl is being carved up by a sicko, her sister must of course exhibit similar wounds.

This makes for the movie’s funniest moment when Dakota starts exhibiting those wounds in the shower, something that she inexplicably fails to share with anyone. You might shed a few hairs in the shower, but when a hand and foot just drop off, something is seriously wrong. Most of us would, you know, report that.
