10 Movies You Can't Remember Who The Villain Really Was

Whatever you make of this highly divisive Bond film, we can surely all agree that it features one of the lamest main villains the series has ever seen.

Though Dominic Greene's (Mathieu Amalric) plan - to stage a coup in Bolivia and take control of the region's water supply - is just different enough to be somewhat interesting, as a character Greene is sadly a whole lotta nothing.

Amalric is a terrific actor, yet fails to imbue Green with much menace or really much personality at all, ensuring he never rises above being a typical rich, well-dressed megalomaniac. The same thing we've seen in at least 15 other Bond films, then.

Given that Casino Royale introduced the decidedly more interesting villain Mr. White (Jesper Christensen), it's a shame that he's pushed the periphery here in favour of a typical Eurotrash baddie who makes no impression whatsoever.

Sandwiched in-between Casino Royale's La Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) and Skyfall's Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem), Greene fell through the cracks almost immediately, and few but the most ardent Bond fans could even recall his name unprompted.
