9. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon's Highway Chase Was Taken From The Island
Michael Bay movies always make waves at the box office, but even he has to save money sometimes. Case in point, Transformers: Dark of the Moon's chase scene wasn't all original work as the highway backdrop was lifted from The Island.
Bay and his creative team simply superimposed a massive robot onto the existing footage and hoped nobody would notice. Well, somebody did, and once the scenes are placed side by side, there's no denying this is a recycled shot.
Dark of the Moon and The Island are radically different films. One is about giant shape-shifting robots from another planet, while the other involves a cloning conspiracy, but thanks to Bay and his penny pinching, they will forever share DNA.
