If the words "I'm the best goddamn dancer in the American ballet academy - who the hell are you?" don't mean anything to you, then you were not a girl any time between about 2000 and now. Center Stage was a fun, romantic teen movie set at a top ballet school which was mainly characterised by the terrible acting done by most of the lead cast (who were trained as dancers). But its treatment of people of colour was pretty tone-deaf, even by teen movie standards. The character of Eva, played by Zoe Saldana, was the only black female dancer in the class and her main personality trait was "wrong side of the tracks-y". The school in the film seemed blatantly racist but rather than making this a plot point, they made Eva's character arc one of assimilation. It's a particular shame as Saldana gives a great performance, despite the script issues.
Brydie is an Australian writer and performer living in London and she complains exactly the same amount about the weather as every other Australian living in London. Yes, that is her natural lip colour, no, she will not be taking any further questions at this time.
