10 Movies You Won't Believe Were Released 1 Year Apart

6. Eddie The Eagle And Logan

Hugh Jackman has portrayed so many different characters throughout his career. However, his most famous role will always be that of Wolverine from the X-Men films. Although die hard comic book fans say that Jackman’s Wolverine is very different to the original character, his personification was nonetheless beloved by movie fans and producers alike with Jackman being brought back for every single X-Men film to date.

Whilst Jackman has continuously changed his body for the role over the years, becoming leaner and more muscular with every outing, his look in Logan was one of the most extreme that the actor has gone through. Before each scene of a shirtless Logan, Jackman would dehydrate himself for forty-eight hours prior, thus losing water weight so that the character looked emaciated.

This is a technique that is very dangerous when done without proper supervision. He did the same thing five years earlier for his role as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, but it’s much more noticeable in Logan with the abundance of shirtless Wolverine scenes.

Contrast this with Eddie The Eagle released just a year prior where, although still muscular, Jackman had a much healthier looking body mass. The difference between the two roles is shocking when put side-by-side, and to say that they were made only a year apart showswhat Jackman is prepared to go through for his performances.
