You don't have to have a huge budget to pull of a decent science fiction movie just so long as you have a decent concept and execute it well with a team of good actors. This is certainly the case for the American independent movie Coherence, a high-concept sci-fi drama on general release in the UK this month. Set entirely in and around a house during a dinner party, Coherence is nothing if not ambitious in terms of concept, with the reality-bending dilemma faced by the various dinner guests tying in to aspects of quantum physics and parallel universes. More interesting than it is necessarily scary (it plays with some horror conventions but isn't wedded to genre expectations) Coherence is a must-see for fans of Twilight Zone-style reality benders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEceDz1Rodc
