While fans of mainstream blockbusters are hardly going to be thrilled at the prospect of a new film by David Cronenberg, the cinephiles out there are likely to react differently - as much as Cronenberg has veered away from the body horror genre he made his name in, his recent take on satire has proven to be fresh and intellectually stimulating. Map To The Stars might not be his greatest film of all time, but it's a must-see for fans of sharp, intelligent movies. Certainly one of the most scathing films about the nature of Hollywood, it features a roster of great actors including John Cusack, Julianne Moore and Mias Wasikowska all on fine form, and another reason to have faith in Robert Pattison breaking free of his Twilight image.
