4. Claire Wise & Benjamin Pollack (Marvel One-Shot: Item 47)
Claire Wise and Benjamin Pollack* are the stars of the Marvel One-Shot; Item 47. They're a couple who find a Chitauri gun left over in New York after the events of The Avengers movie and proceed to use it to hold up banks to make themselves some money (the weapon was initially broken but Benjamin - an unemployed scientist - managed to fix it). Two agents from S.H.I.E.L.D are given the assignment of stopping the pair from committing crimes and retrieving the Chitauri weapon which S.H.I.E.L.D has given the codename Item 47. Whilst they are resting in a motel, one of the agents sent to stop them - Jasper Sitwell - manages to arrest them after a short confrontation. When Sitwell realises that Benjamin is the one who repaired the gun, he chooses to enlist the pair instead of killing them. Benny now works for S.H.I.E.L.D reverse-engineering Chitauri technology, while Claire is Agent Blake's assistant. Given that the pair are played by two decent actors in Jesse Bradford and the gorgeous Lizzy Caplan, and given their characters' unique stories, it would be cool to at least see them showing up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. *And yes, I do realise these are two characters, which means there are eleven people on this list!
