10 Non-Superhero Comic Series That Would Make Great TV Shows

6. 100 Bullets

100-BulletsGenre: Political Crime Thriller What it is: "Inside this attaché case is irrefutable evidence that what I'm telling you is true. Also in the attaché is a gun, and one-hundred rounds of ammunition. All untraceable. All yours. Do with it as you see fit." - Phillip Graves Another Vertigo series on the list, and it isn't the last, the basic premise of 100 Bullets is simple, but what Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Rizzo do with it is anything but. If given a chance at revenge, without any chance of reprisal, would you? Could you? It started with simple single story vignettes, but by the end it unfolded into conspiracy after conspiracy, with every character connected in some way. Brilliantly plotted, with action, political intrigue, violence, and very human emotion, the series lasted 100 issues, and gained a huge following during its run. Why it would be great: People love hard luck stories, revenge scenarios, and political intrigue on their own, but together this series could rule the airways. A series of compelling morality tales, with well thought out, unique characters, this show would grab viewers by the balls, and leave them saying thank you sir, may I have another. Fans of long-form drama such as Lost, The X-Files, and Breaking Bad would love the call-backs to earlier episodes, and trying to figure out the mystery behind the attache' case and its provider, Phillip Graves. A complicated, and over all deadly revenge plot that drags every character into its tangles, this series would monopolize water cooler conversations every week, as viewers trade theories as to what may really be going on. Those types of shows tend to have a long life ahead of them, and 100 Bullets would be no different. Do with that as you see fit.
