Made in 1922, this is, simply put, the best horror movie of all time. A silent movie, that is based upon Bram Stoker's Dracula, Nosferatu is both unnerving, and bluntly put, horrifying. Arguable, it's one of the horror films that made the genre what it is today; you'll find its influence palpable and far reaching throughout horror, both classic and modern. Without it, who knows what the state of cinematic terror would be today? You cannot consider yourself a horror-film buff until you have seen this movie, experienced this masterpiece.
