10 Obvious Expendables 4 Castings That Need To Happen
3. Dave Bautista
On the subject of former wrestlers turned movie stars, The Rock isn't the only World Champion who has proven himself on the big screen. However, unlike Johnson, Dave Bautista has done a much better job of creating a reputation in a tough, stoic and dangerous typecast.
Although Bautista has dabbled in goofier characters (like Drax the Destroyer and his part in My Spy), he's never lost that sense of unrelenting badassery that made him a success in WWE. Thanks to his staggering size and striking tattoos, he slides into the role of a mercenary like a coin to a slot machine.
Another thing to note about his performances is how good he is at playing thoughtful leading characters. His protagonist roles often come across as compelling and likeable, which you can see in films like Army of the Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy.
He's even made the right contacts already, having starred alongside Sly Stallone in Escape Plan 3 only two years ago, which also featured 50 Cent, who's a confirmed addition to The Expendables 4 cast.
