One of Infinity War's most crucial moments sees Doctor Strange examining 14,000,605 possible future outcomes of The Avengers' last stand against Thanos, only a single one of which would have them emerge victorious.

And boy, wouldn't it have been incredible to gain a peek behind the curtain and see even just a few of the outcomes where Thanos thoroughly wrecks The Avengers?

A brief montage of Doctor Strange's visions could've allowed the Russos to offer up consequence-free slivers of alternate timelines, perhaps even incorporating some of the ideas that the Russos and co. decided not to use in the prime timeline.

There is some hope, though: with Marvel's upcoming animated series What If...? due to drop next year, the show could offer up a teaser of the fates that almost befell The Avengers.
