10 Opening Credit Sequences That Were Better Than The Films That Followed

6. EuroTrip (2004)

The Opening Credit Sequence: An airline flight manual is drastically transformed into a beginners's guide to debauchery at 20,000 ft (basically, all the don'ts become do's) as French-Canadian band Chapeaumelon's cover of '"My Generation' on the soundtrack handily reminds us we've gone all continental. So we have a couple having sex in the overhead compartments, an epidemic of projectile vomiting and, erm, an air hostess juggling chainsaws. Okay, so it isn't the funniest or most sophisticated opening sequence you've ever seen but it's certainly the least obnoxious two minutes and twelve seconds that EuroTrip has to offer. The Film: The ubiquitous US teen beer, boobs and bad times romp, only with added airmiles and a raft of shameful cameos to rival Movie 43. But not even Lucy Lawless,Vinnie Jones, Fred Armisen and Matt Damon (seriously) are enough to stop this whistle-stop tour of national stereotypes (ha ha, look! The English are all football hooligans!) from offending everyone in sight. When the poster proclaimed it was made by the producers of Road Trip and Old School, the word they were really looking for was 'cast-offs'.
