Fight For Your Life is an in-your-face home invasion movie, but instead of the villains being the stereotypical coloured low-lives, the story focuses on a well-to-do African-American family being taunted by a white trash gang. Judging from William Sanderson€™s performance in Blade Runner, you wouldn€™t expect him to play the gang leader, but he€™s plenty unhinged in the role, sweating and leering and even placing his gun to a baby€™s head when people don€™t take him seriously. On the run from the cops, the group take refuge in the home of an African-American Minister Sanderson calls €œMartin Luther Coon€ and proceeds to belittle for the rest of the picture. He also assaults the Minister€™s friends and family, setting in motion a chain of events that leads to an outrageously violent climax.
