10 Painfully Long Movie Marathons You Have To Do At Least Once
5. The Star Wars Saga - 940 Minutes (And Counting)
The Films: Star Wars... Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi, Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack Of The Clones, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, The Force Awakens
Just How Long? 15.6 Hours
Why You Have To Try It: Now on to a pretty standard marathon. Going through all the Star Wars has been a favourite pastime of fans since the original trilogy was made available on VHS, but now with seven episodes in the saga, it's a little more daunting.
What makes it still worth taking an extended trip to a galaxy far, far away is just how unique each of the films is. Call the prequels out on anything you want, you can't hide that tonally they vary heavily and the visuals of each episode are unique, which means that even if the length feels too much, you're never stuck with one feeling for too long. 2015's addition of The Force Awakens also provides something of a pleasant reward at the end of an otherwise draining session.
