10 Painfully Long Movie Marathons You Have To Do At Least Once

5. The Star Wars Saga - 940 Minutes (And Counting)

Disney

The Films: Star Wars... Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi, Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack Of The Clones, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, The Force Awakens

Just How Long? 15.6 Hours

Why You Have To Try It: Now on to a pretty standard marathon. Going through all the Star Wars has been a favourite pastime of fans since the original trilogy was made available on VHS, but now with seven episodes in the saga, it€'™s a little more daunting.

What makes it still worth taking an extended trip to a galaxy far, far away is just how unique each of the films is. Call the prequels out on anything you want, you can'€™t hide that tonally they vary heavily and the visuals of each episode are unique, which means that even if the length feels too much, you€™'re never stuck with one feeling for too long. 2015's addition of The Force Awakens also provides something of a pleasant reward at the end of an otherwise draining session.
