10 Perfect Casting Choices to Support Ben Affleck's Batman

10. Michael B. Jordan €“ Lucius Fox

Jeremy Irons has a huge Michael Caine shaped shadow cast over him as he prepares for the role of Alfred and the same will be said for anyone who takes on the role of Lucius Fox that Morgan Freeman performed spectacularly in Nolan€™s trilogy. It would be interesting if DC decided to distance themselves from Freeman's performance and maybe go for a younger actor to play him. As Bruce Wayne prepares for the rise of metahumans and his battle against Superman he will need to update his arsenal and who better to help than Lucius? One way to make the younger Lucius work would be for Bruce to see the potential in the young and brilliant scientist rising through the Wayne Enterprise ranks and recruit him in his quest to save Gotham. Michael B. Jordan was spectacular in Chronicle and he possesses the charisma to take Lucius Fox down a different direction that would certainly give the character a fresher look as opposed to if the favourites Donald Glover or Denzel Washington were hired for the role (as good as they would it €“ it€™s not exactly anything new). His commitments to the Fantastic Four reboot could keep him out of running, but considering the heavy rumours of re-shoots and the overall controversy that seems to plague production, he may just end up free after all. And it€™s certainly not unheard of for actors to appear in both Marvel and DC films.
