1. Margot Robbie As Harley Quinn - Suicide Squad
There’s a lot riding on Suicide Squad and while people are worried about DC’s cinematic capabilities, no one is concerned with what the characters are going to be like. In particular, Margot Robbie’s scene-stealing attitude in the trailers is almost enough on its own to convince audiences that the film is destined to be a hit.
Robbie has completely nailed the attitude of the character, from the voice to the way she struts around. Sure, she’s crazy, but Robbie sells the heart and innocence to the character as well. Ultimately, Quinn can often mean well but is fairly misguided in her attempts to do what she wants, a delicate balance which Robbie already looks to be handling.
What really sold Robbie was the scene in which she talks about the voices in her head and what they’re telling her to do. She seems to get the essence of the character, and is funny, threatening and flirty all at the same time. It’s going to be an absolute pleasure watching Robbie unhinge herself come August.
