6. In The Realm Of The Senses (1976)
Pervy goings on in pre World War Two Japan. Our protagonists are Sada (a servant) and Ishida (her master), both of them letting it all hang out as they have an obsessive sexual affair which takes over their lives and they are basically indulging in sex based activities 24 hours a day. This mutual obsession leads to tragedy when they are having experimental sex and go too far. This ends in willy chopping off time. Artsploitation film from Nagisa Oshima which blurs the line between pornography and a merely explicit drama, In the Realm of the Senses contains very perverse sexual acts which take up the vast amount of viewing time. The sex actually adds to the character's personalities instead of being merely gratuitous. The characters' devotion to each other and their increasingly off beat sexual shenanigans is almost like wtching a pair of drug addicts - only here sex is the addiction. Watch it if you want to see a lady doing tricks with her vagina and an egg. Watch it if you want to see an interesting art film which is pretty kinky.
