The Theory

If that Captain America theory was pretty plausible, the minds behind the hilariously deranged - yet bizarrely popular - Harry Potter "Ronbledore" theory might want to put down whatever pipe they're smoking.

The theory cobbles together intriguing yet wholly inconclusive "proof" from both the movies and books that Ron Weasley (Ruper Grint) is a time-travelling version of Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon).

Supposed evidence includes Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) describing both Ron and Dumbledore as tall, thin and bearing long noses with red hair in their respective youths, Dumbledore having a scar on his left leg (the same leg Ron injures in Prisoner Of Azkaban), the fact they're rarely seen together and seem to avoid extended contact with one another (a classic time travel rule) and Dumbledore's sheer wisdom suggesting he's experienced these events before.

How It Was Debunked

Potter author J.K. Rowling was asked about the theory on Twitter back in 2015, and fired off the to-the-point insistence that it was a "false theory." That hasn't stopped many fans committing it firmly to their own head-canon, though.
