10 Possible Looks For Jared Leto's Joker

5. A Completely New Joker

Like Heath Ledger's Joker, there's a very good chance that Warner Bros. and Suicide Squad director David Ayer will come up with something new for the next big screen version of this iconic villain. Based on Man of Steel and comments from those involved with the upcoming DC Comics movie slate, realism and a darker tone are very much the name of the game when it comes to the DC Cinematic Universe. So, what does that mean for The Joker? Will they ditch the green hair and make-up? Could the white face just be make-up like in The Dark Knight? What if he has no scars or deformed smile? Ditching any one of those things could lead to outrage from fans, but it's ultimately the performance which matters more. As long as Leto's Joker is utterly evil and insane, making some fairly radical changes to make the Clown Prince of Crime more believable may not be the worst thing they could do.
