2. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (Dec 20)
And now for a film that positively
isn't vying for awards, but is still easily one of the most anticipated movies in years; 9 years after the release of Anchorman, following a constant back-and-forth as to whether it was ever going to get made, Anchorman 2 is finally on the horizon. Bringing back the entire central cast and throwing in a few extra names for good measure - Kristen Wiig as Brick's love interest, and James Marsden as a charming rising star anchor at GNN - there are plenty of reasons to be excited about this long-gestating sequel.
The Buzz: The first reviews won't start pouring in for a good while yet, and though the project has enormous expectations to live up to, with virtually
everyone returning, it's possible that writer-director Adam McKay could catch lightning in a bottle twice. What we've seen so far - namely Ron Burgundy trying to integrate himself with a black family - seems absolutely hilarious.
