Ozploitation: a word Tarantino basically created to explain his love of Australian cinema and the influence it's had on his own directing style.

He even paid tribute with an almost-comical attempt at an Australian accent for his cameo in Django Unchained.

In the never-ending cycle of speculation surrounding his future projects, this is one movie idea that Tarantino surprisingly brought up himself, as opposed to a response to a million questions about the same movies.

While not quite script-ready, or even having a studio on board; a Bonnie and Clyde-esque outlaw adventure film is one that's played on the famed director's mind for quite some time.

Bringing together his love affair of the classic Aussie action-adventure genre with his already proven deep dive into westerns and bandit tales, it almost seems like a perfect fit with his previous work.
