10 Predictions For Sony's 2021 Mystery Spider-Man Spin-Off Movie

5. A Live-Action Spider-Verse Film

Okay, so bear with this writer when he puts forward this theory because, yeah it's a long-shot... but hey anything's possible, right?

Ever since the joyous animated adventure Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse showcased the extent of wonders that Spider-Man, Marvel and the multiverse is capable of, fans have longed to see something similar happen in the live-action offerings - and considering all the confusing things happening with Marvel and Sony, it seems like the perfect time to make that a reality.

Spider-Man: Far From Home did us all dirty when Mysterio's comic-accurate teases and promises of the multiverse turned out to be nothing more than another one of Quentin Beck's illusions and lies. And yet, the Marvel multiverse seems closer than ever because it's literally in the title of the upcoming Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness - a movie directed by Spider-Man '02 director Sam Raimi that just so happens to be released only two months before Spider-Man 3.

It could explain why that film is comes out ahead of both Spidey 3 and the mysterious October 2021 offering and why it's so close to the former. Maybe Stephen Strange is the key to returning us to the worlds of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men and, in the process, setting up a live-action Spider-Verse film between them and Tom Holland.

See? It's not that far-fetched a prediction, right?
