10 Questions From The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer
9. What Role Is Andy Serkis Playing?
It's been known for a while now that Andy Serkis has been working on Age of Ultron to help accentuate Mark Ruffalo's performance capture work as The Hulk, and why not? He's the go-to-guy for that type of role, and having him on board can only be a good thing, but the trailer also finally confirms that Serkis' much-discussed additional role isn't going to be for an additional CGI-enhanced creature, but a live-action human instead. The brief shot shown of Serkis is as a grubby-looking man with impressive facial hair. Who could he be? The Likely Answer: Internet sleuths soon enough deduced that Serkis' character bears an interesting resemblance to Ulysses Klaw, a classic comic book super-villain who has been the frequent nemesis of both The Avengers and, most interestingly, Black Panther, a movie of whom is in active development at Marvel. Ulysses is a genius physicist who will likely be working for Hydra in Age of Ultron and, if this really is the identity of Serkis' mystery man, again proves just how much thought and planning Marvel puts into even their more distant projects.
