9. Along Came Polly
Ben Stiller's comedy vehicle came around just before we all got sick of him playing the same prone-to-anger caricature that he plays in every film he stars in (in various degrees) - he is the Stressed Eric of the modern comic generation, and someone that Hollywood seems to think we all enjoy watching being wound up. This is not the case - it is a fallacy based on similar "truths" behind the decision to make Grown-Ups 2, or in fact to ever give Adam Sandler and Kevin James any screen time together at all. But back with Along Came Polly it was just about still okay, and we got to see free spirit Polly invading Stiller's life, giving him massive digestive problems and generally being a bit of an unlikable person all round. We forgave her though, because in one glorious moment, we got to see her getting something of a spanking from Stiller's straight-laced "everyman" while in her underwear. Red as well.
