I think the biggest hurdle to a Wonder Woman movie is that Amazonian perfection is a bit hard to come by, and anyone even a model like Gal Gadot is probably going to fall short of this. The premise makes casting the movie is almost impossible, so good luck generating confidence from the most fickle group of whiners since the Spanish Inquisition (because no one expected that). But Carol, while apparently hot is no Susan Richards (within the lore The Invisible Woman is widely considered to be the bees knees) and for better or for worse Hollywood isnt lacking for beautiful women with talent. The quest to find Captain Marvel among the multitude of talented actresses could be what propelled the film into the sure thing category. Personally, I think that Cate Blanchett should play Captain Marvel and not because Im wrapping this list up and Im calling back to my opening, but because shes more than awesome, in fact I would write a top 10 reasons shes awesome if my editors would let me. In the end, Carol Danvers creates an embarrassment of riches in terms of potential, casting choices and ease of transition from page to screen. Somehow I feel like this list is preaching to the Disney choir, so maybe theyll take it as words of encouragement. Lets cross our fingers and hope Kevin Feige was more than hinting.
Dante R Maddox got started in writing about pop culture in 2007. He developed his conversational style majoring in English and minoring in speech communication, his desire to write as if he were speaking to the reader face to face was the bane of many professors. An odd blend of geek cred and regular fella chic', you're just as likely to end up talking about baseball or politics as you are about comic books and movies (just don't mention Tucker Carlson, you are addressing the man who will go to jail for assault in the future after all). He wrote a book called The Lineage of Durge that's available on Amazon for a small amount of money, he's writing a second while acting as Editor-in-Stuff over at Saga Online Press, there is a graphic novel expansion of his book series also in the works as well as continued development of his cheesecannon, one day Canada...one day (Seriously, a piece of ham, you slice it up and now it's bacon?!?!? I say thee nay!!!)
