10 Reasons Fast & Furious 9 Is A Cinematic Car Wreck

3. It's Far Too Long And The Editing Is Dreadful

The biggest mistake this franchise keeps making is overlength. Every single one of the films since Fast Five has been far longer than it should've been and rather than fixing the issue, F9 doubles down on it.

This movie is nearly two and a half hours long because.... who even knows? Regardless, this actively harms the film and makes it an exhausting sit.

What's equally bad is the terrible structure and editing. Characters are constantly popping up in different locations without any explanation of why they're there or when they journeyed to them - for example, around halfway through the film several characters are suddenly in Edinburgh despite being split up around the world in previous scenes.

Similarly, Dom nearly drowning should've been a huge shock for the group, but it's never mentioned or discussed afterwards and bar Letty, none of the other characters even acknowledge it.

As well as this, various things just aren't even explained. The film takes ages to explain who Dom and Letty left their son with when they left to go on the mission and what happened to Mr Noboby after his plane was attacked is never revealed.
