10 Reasons That Prove Sylvester Stallone Is Underrated

7. He Admits His Mistakes

On the UK promotional tour for Rocky Balboa, Stallone was asked about Rocky V to which he replied that it was a mistake and that Rocky needed a proper send-off. That was so refreshing to hear from a man who was a Hollywood money-printing machine in the eighties. He knew the film didn't work and he wanted to do something about it for his best loved character. He even admitted that he was 'greedy' when returning to Philadelphia...
"I'm greedy €“ what can I tell you? It was a mistake because the audience didn't want to see the downside of the character. They wanted him to remain on top. I should have known that."
He's also admitted to making "some truly awful movies" such as forays into comedies and musicals. It's fair to say that many big stars, who don't need to make money to put on the table, ever set out to make a movie they don't care about, but maybe they do get lazy. Stallone admits this. Also, want to know what he considers his worst movie? "'Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot' was the worst. If you ever want someone to confess to murder, just make him or her sit through that film. They will confess to anything after 15 minutes." Harsh words but I'm sure Golden Girl Estelle Getty could give as good as she got.
