10 Reasons Superman Would Definitely Beat Up Batman

2. Friendship Goes Both Ways

friendship Superman€™s biggest weakness isn€™t Kryptonite, it€™s those he cares for. A lot of people are quick to point to this as something Batman would exploit. But let€™s be realistic here: Batman is not Wolverine, he€™s not the Punisher. He may be willing to bend the rules, but to put innocent people in danger in order to stop an enemy? If we€™re going to accept that Superman€™s character would prevent him from just punching Batman€™s head off, then we also have to accept that Batman has his own strict creed that he adheres to. He doesn€™t kill and he won€™t endanger an innocent just as a battle tactic. While Batman could pretend like he would be doing this, the fact that his friendship with Superman has given him time to observe all the strengths and weaknesses goes both ways. As has already been established, Superman is no slouch in the intelligence department and as much as Batman has learned about him, Superman has also been doing the same. The entire reason Superman knows who Batman really is is because Batman deduced Superman€™s identity and promised him it was safe with him. Superman then used his x-ray vision and said, €œyours is safe, too, Bruce.€ So Superman knows what Batman's limits are and what lines he won't cross. No matter how dire the situation, I doubt Batman would use Lois or Martha as a bargaining chip against Superman, just as Superman wouldn€™t do the same with Alfred or Commissioner Gordon. It€™s just too far out-of-character for both of them.
