His portrayal of a man whose relationships are in crisis while journeying down the motorway in his car won the star rave reviews and plenty of respect on the independent filmmaking scene.

While it's a million miles away from the escapism of Bond, the ability to engage an audience so vividly is key to the casting of James Bond.
