10. Bruce Wayne Must Survive!
It's been strongly implied that Bruce Wayne is going to bite the big one at the end of The Dark Knight Rises - or at least that he will kill off Batman in some grand symbolic gesture. For instance he states in every trailer that he hasn't given everything to Gotham City: "no yet". Say it ain't so Christopher Nolan! Whilst this would be a powerful and unprecedented end to a summer superhero tentpole franchise, it's probably not the right one. Batman can't quit: he's the goddamn Batman. And he shouldn't die because of reasons 1-9. We need this version of the character to continue. The actor can change, the director can leave, but this is the definitive movie version of the character and - given that Warner Bros. will continue making films whatever happens - this is the version that should continue for the foreseeable future.
