10 Reasons We Don't Want Batman Reboot After The Dark Knight Rises

6. It Was Just Getting Warmed Up

With Dark Knight Rises still yet to be released this is a speculative point. But with all the pre-release rumour of Lazarus Pits and that futuristic hover jet seen in some of the trailers, there is the suggestion that the latest film will see Nolan have a little more fun with the possibilities of a comic book character. The grim and gritty angle has been great fun, but if this franchise is starting to open itself up to more out-there ideas then it'd be really sad if it didn't get to run any further with them in the future. Nolan's world, whilst originally small-scale and restrictive, always had the potential to grow and evolve beyond its confines as the world around Batman changed. The Dark Knight already showed how Joker was brought into being as a direct result of the caped crusader's unique brand of justice, so Nolan's Batman world becoming a bit more expansive would make perfect sense.
