9. About Time

AboutTime Domhnall Gleeson plays a character who, on his 21st birthday, discovers he can travel through time. His father (Bill Nighy) explains that this trait runs in the family, and though they cannot alter history or anything on a grand scale, they do have the ability to change what happens in their own lives - for better or worse. Why We Are Excited: This film (another original) is written and directed by the great Richard Curtis, who has once again amassed a great ensemble cast including the aforementioned Gleeson and Nighy, as well as Rachel McAdams, Tom Hollander, and more. Essentially Love, Actually meets The Time Traveler's Wife, with this film curtis will have created what may be the first full on Sci-Fi romantic comedy. And judging by his track record, we should expect the usual laughs sprinkled with a few tears, but this time with a time-travel twist.
