10 Reasons Why Dawn of the Dead Remake Sucks

6. The Zombies Don't Do Much

The zombies in The Dawn Remake vary from hyper active to just plain pointless. Whenever an unimportant character is around they're lightning quick, but when an important character is on-screen, they really take their time. When Michael and Andre open the door to let the truck in, most of the zombies just stand there to get shot, the zombies in the lot barely make it to the group in time to eat them, when the group is stuck in the stairwell the zombies swarm up to them and slowly approach them rather than just mow them all down like a feeding frenzy. In spite of being only inches away from the group, the zombies barely make it to the elevator when storming the inside of the mall, when greeted with the presence of the living, they wander around the lot outside rather than try to get in to the structure, and at one point Ana falls to her knees in an effort to run from the zombies and they merely stand around her rather than tearing in to her. Also, you have to love the zombie that conveniently lifts the gas canister with both hands allowing the hordes around it to explode from the gun shot CJ deals it.
